The value for money at Scalford Hall was excellent, with clean and amazing rooms that exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for exploring Melton Mowbray parkrun, just a short drive away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Ian who made our stay even more enjoyable.

The morning meal could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and immediately felt at ease in the beautiful surroundings. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with the biggest bed we've ever seen! The wild garden outside our window was a lovely surprise and we even spotted foxes and pheasants. The bar and lounge area were newly decorated and provided a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious and served by the hardworking chef. Despite a few minor issues, we had a generally pleasant stay in this charming hotel. I would definitely recommend Scalford Hall Guest House for a memorable stay.

We had a lovely stay at Scalford Hall Guest House for our visit to the area. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the check-in and check-out process straightforward. The grounds and surrounding area were very pleasant, providing a beautiful setting and scenery. The restaurant served excellent food and our room had pleasant views of the gardens. it was an excellent stay for the price we paid. We will definitely be back.

The hotel rooms were quite tired and dated, with carpet stains and cracked walls. The overall maintenance of the property seemed lacking, with a lack of attention to detail.

The water in our room was not working during our entire stay, which made it impossible to shower or flush the toilet. Some staff lacked basic customer service skills and engagement.

There were a couple of downsides to my experience. there was a delay in getting my room ready, which was a bit frustrating.

It really is in the middle of nowhere, the nearest pub is 3 miles away. Lots of the other guests are either wedding parties or cooprate parties taking part in training days.

The room that we stayed in had a very small and dated toilet/shower room with the wash sink/mirror in the bedroom. Really dated and not what I was expecting.

Excellent hotel staff, very friendly and helpful. Beautifal scenery and very quiet. Breakfast was good and even though it was very busy in the morning the staff were very calm and polite. Overall excellent hotel and I would certainly return next year.

Rooms were slightly small and there were no air conditions only a fan. The weather was hot and therefore we had two uncomfortable nights of sleep.

this is a really beautiful place in lovely surroundings. The staff were brilliant, the room was large and well appointed, and the breakfast - well, that was wonderful. We weren't able to sample the main menu, will have to go back for that. The only drawback was that we had to climb 2 flights of stairs as there is no lift. But as a very late booking there was no chance to ask for a lower floor. As elderly people we have to consider these matters. Great sleepover anyway in very comfortable beds.

We purchased a deal with a three-course evening meal, as well as a cooked breakfast (buffet style). This was extremely good value, well served and lovely food. The room was a good size, had everything we needed and was quiet and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Minor issues: The bathroom had just a small shower and no bath and the tv reception was poor in our room.

The extensive grounds were very pleasant.

The room was very poorly sound insulated and noise from the bedroom above and the corridor outside the room was very intrusive. The public rooms were rather institutional.

I booked a deal on Booked.net including dinner, for my partners 40th birthday and it was fantastic! Everything was beautiful, the room, the service, the food and the very special, specially made, surprise birthday cake the chef made for my partner. We thoroughly enjoyed it, the evening meal was delicious. We will return and we think it should be a four star hotel!! We stayed in an upgraded room in the coach house. Thank you Scalford Hall.

The staff were very obliging in the restaurant - the food in the restaurant was really high quality - we had 2 coeliacs in our group and they were really helpful. Lovely wait staff.

The rooms need a serious upgrade very dated - they were clean but not at all what we expected - we described my mums room as being like a boarding school room!
